Portland Web Development Company Pioneers ATV Safety E-Learning System

Portland, OR -- January 29, 2009 -- The praise is streaming in from an on-line survey of site users for the All-terrain Vehicle Safety Education site, produced by A.VIBE Web Devleopment in conjunction with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. After being featured on several news broadcasts and media publications, A.VIBE is pleased to announce the world-wide launch of http://www.rideatvoregon.org.

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department sought out A.VIBE's team of devleopers for their depth of knowledge in the field of programming, particularly their expertise in ColdFusion development. The custom e-learning system combines interactive user participation and database-driven results.

Users can create either individual accounts or an account for their entire family, and the content is supported by a quiz function that promotes success in learning the information. Upon completion of the online course with a passing score, the user's information is automatically sent to the card printers, and a printable, temporary completion card is generated on the spot.

Prompted by a surge in all-terrain vehicle riders and an alarming number of injuries and deaths, the mission of the site is to create a user-friendly and dynamic way of learning the course's curriculum, which is geared towards a diverse population of riders. Since its launch on December 30, 2008, the e-learning program has been accessed by more than 16,500 riders.

In compliance with new state-wide laws, all riders under the age of 15 and their supervisors using Class I (quads) or III (off-road motorcycles) on Oregon's public lands are required to carry proof of the course's completion as of January 1, 2009.
